Wrote this article January 2011. This was the first article that Brent Bundy worked on, getting recruited at the last minute to do the photos when the scheduled guy didn’t show. He has gone on to become a major contributor to Professional Pilot, having done over 100 articles to date.
Brent was also successful in getting his management to let me fly the A109 Grand for a mini pilot report. At that point I think he mentioned I was the only non-police pilot to fly any of the Air Support helo’s.
